金管會公布「櫃買市場投資人結構及交易行為分析」結果指出，在2006年到2015年這10年間，上櫃股票市場買賣金額中，有84%是自然人，男性占近6成，並偏中高年齡層，逾40歲買賣金額占自然人交易79%，而且最愛投資生技股。
在上櫃股票市場投資人交易偏好部分，根據分析結果指出，上櫃股票市場以自然人為主，約占市場買賣金額8成，外資交易比重則呈長期緩步上揚趨勢。在自然人投資人中，以男性略多，由2006年占市場買賣金額55%，微幅上升至2015年的58%。
若以年齡區分，過去10年間以40歲至60歲自然人投資人為交易主力，約占上櫃股票市場自然人買賣金額50%，超過40歲以上投資人買賣金額則高達自然人交易79%，顯示上櫃股票市場自然人投資人較偏中高年齡層。
權證市場投資人交易偏好方面，分析結果顯示，權證市場也以自然人為主，占整體上櫃權證市場買賣金額99%以上，若以性別來看，以男性較多，占比也由2006年的62%，提升至2015年的71%，而自然人投資人中，以30歲至40歲為交易主力，約占權證市場自然人買賣金額40%。
至於上櫃股票市場特色產業投資人特性，生技產業投資人也以自然人為主，占生技產業買賣金額8成4以上。其中，男性略多，但占比從2006年的60%降至2015年的55%，而過去10年間，40歲至60歲自然人投資人為生技產業買賣主力，約占生技產業自然人買賣金額50%。
金管會過去也持續擴大當沖標的，這次分析2015年1月至2016年10月資料，2015年6月1日第一次擴大當沖標的後，當沖交易人數增加約93.39%、買賣金額攀升83.43%，2016年2月1日第二次擴大當沖標的後，與前次擴大當沖標的相較，雖當沖交易人數及買賣金額上升幅度較小，但整體而言仍有小幅成長。

中等技能工作在美國勞動市場占過半數，這類勞工其實不需要4年制大學的學士學位，卻無法獲得足夠的訓練。為解決技能斷層的問題，近年美國業者紛紛與社區學院建教合作。

德國西門子能源稍早在美國北卡州夏洛特設立燃氣渦輪機製造廠，800個職缺吸引1萬人應徵，但其中有約15％求職者無法通過國中9年級程度的讀寫和數學測驗。西門子美國公司前執行長史匹格坦言，工廠內一切靠電腦，對員工的專業要求遠勝於過去，「西門子沒有高中畢業者的職缺。」
農用器械巨擘John Deere的各代理商情況相近，維修或操作動輒百萬美元的大型機械，除了電腦專業，還須擅長高等數學和理解技巧。在華盛頓州瓦拉瓦拉社區學院為該公司開設農業課程的主管溫尼特說，「教科書就是電腦。」
自動化提高就業門檻
美國總統川普一直把製造業式微歸咎於對美國不利的各項貿易協定，並誓言為勞動階級奪回工作機會。但據印第安納州波爾州立大學研究，美國自2000年以來消失的工作中，近9成是因自動化造成，而不是被其他國家勞工搶走所導致。況且，即使製造業工作機會回流，高中畢業學歷也已嫌不足。
許多人認為，解決方式就是讓更多美國人進大學，但學習和拿文憑常被混為一談。政府資料顯示，44％美國高中生一畢業直接進入4年制大學繼續升學，不過能在4年拿到學位的不到一半。2年制社區學院被賦予職業訓練的角色，但逾8成都想拿學士學位，而非在就業市場沒多少價值的副學士學位。
美國學生不太有機會追求介於高中畢業和4年制大學間的「中等技能職涯」─意指工作機會要求高中以上文憑，但非學士學位。非營利組織「全國技能聯盟」（NSC）統計，包括電腦技術、衛生保健、營建、高技能製造業等中等技職工作機會就占勞動市場的54％，但其中僅44％受過足夠訓練。
面臨員工技能斷層的業者，近年來紛紛與社區學院合作，提供員工適用於現今職場的學術教育以及實務技能。John Deere為集團的代理商網絡設計課程，並捐農用器材給社區學院，以訓練維修技工；每學期約15至20名員工加入瓦拉瓦拉學院的訓練課程，這些帶職進修的學生須在2年內畢業。
一般技工起薪平均略少於4萬美元（約台幣126萬元），據一名博士卡納維的研究，4成的中等技能工作年薪超過5.5萬美元，14％年薪更高達8萬美元。加入John Deere培訓的員工在一般人眼中，是高中成績欠佳，不是念大學那塊料，但要完成訓練課程，他們必須在高中修習高等數學和寫作。另一方面，在企業學歷至上的時代，要說服家長和學生加入中等技能建教合作方案也非易事。
有鑑於夏洛特廠徵才不順，西門子在2011年為當地高三學生開立建教合作方案，學生在4年訓練和學習後，可從該市的皮埃蒙特社區學院拿到機械電子學的副學士學位，不必負擔學貸，年薪上看5萬美元。
西門子表示，該方案不是專為功課後段班的學生設置。高三成績名列班上前10名的羅賓森就是一例，他已獲北卡大學錄取入學，但仍決定棄4年制大學轉投西門子的建教合作方案。他的父母原本大力反對，不過在西門子舉辦的參觀日後，他們改變看法。羅賓森在大學主修工程的同學告訴他，當初應該選擇加入，因為等畢業後，羅賓森的職場經驗將海放所有人。
建教合作領域逐漸擴大
據美國勞動部統計，目前全美有2萬1千個登記的建教合作方案，學員50萬人，雖然在18至24歲年輕族群當中只占1.5％，但人數比起2013年已經大幅增長35％。
而除了製造業，建教合作的範圍也擴大到電腦科技、金融服務和保險等行業。科羅拉多州在州長希肯路波大力推動，並獲彭博慈善基金和摩根大通協助下，將自今年起提供當地高中生金融服務、保健和製造業的建教合作方案，目標是在未來10年訓練2萬人。
